Meticulously Crafted Hebrew Letter Pendant
The Aleph Project is an innovation inspired by the deep layers of meaning embedded within the modern Hebrew letters and ancient pictographs of the Hebrew alphabet. The modern and ancient symbols have been created through a sculptural process of morphing the ancient Hebrew letter on one side and the modern version of the Hebrew letter on the reverse.
Where Form Carries Deep Spiritual Meaning
In early Hebrew writing, each letter began as a pictograph. These pictographs conveyed profound ideas often represented to the form. Concepts such as strength, home, guidance, endurance, remembrance, and faithfulness (and so much more) are all defined and depicted in the characters. Over time, the letters evolved into the modern Hebrew script, yet traces of their original forms and meanings remain embedded within them.
The Aleph Jewellery Project brings these layers together through a sculptural process that unites the ancient pictograph on one side of each piece with the modern Hebrew letter on the other. This transformation allows each letter to be expressed across time, preserving both origin and continuity in a single form.
Our Mission
Our mission is to share the incredibly deep and rich meanings of the Hebrew letters and their associated encouragements and blessings through this unique sculptural jewellery form. By uniting ancient pictographs with modern script, we seek to present each letter as it has been passed down, carrying instruction, devotion, endurance, and trust, without reinterpretation or alteration
