Warranty Policy
At aleph, we take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our jewellery. We want you to feel confident in your purchase and satisfied with your aleph pendant.
We offer a 12-month warranty from the original date of purchase covering manufacturing faults in materials or workmanship. This warranty applies only where a defect is present due to how the jewellery was made; it does not cover accidental damage, general wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by external factors.
Our liability under this warranty is subject to aleph’s assessment. We must be reasonably satisfied that any issue is the result of a manufacturing fault and not caused by, or substantially contributed to by:
-
Accidental damage
-
Impact, bending, crushing, or dropping
-
Improper storage or care
-
Exposure to chemicals, perfumes, salt water or harsh environments
-
Alterations or repairs carried out by anyone other than aleph or an authorised service provider
INTERNATIONAL GUARANTEE
aleph’s 12-month manufacturer’s warranty applies from the original date of purchase and covers your jewellery against genuine manufacturing faults. This guarantee is designed to provide reassurance that each aleph pendant has been crafted with care and inspected for quality before reaching you.
To be eligible for warranty service, the following conditions must be met:
-
The item must have been purchased directly from the official aleph website
-
Valid proof of purchase must be provided (such as an order confirmation email or receipt)
-
The jewellery must exhibit a fault that is the result of a manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship
A manufacturing fault refers to an issue that arises from the way the jewellery was made, rather than from normal wear or external damage. This warranty does not cover chipped, bent, scratched, broken, or otherwise damaged jewellery where the issue has been caused by accidental impact, improper handling, exposure to chemicals, or general wear and tear. However, even when damage falls outside warranty coverage, we may still be able to assist with repairs at a reasonable service cost, subject to assessment.
If a product is inspected and confirmed to be defective under this warranty, aleph will determine the most appropriate solution. At our discretion, we may:
-
Repair the item free of charge
-
Replace it with the same item, where available
-
Replace it with a similar design of equal value if the original piece is no longer available
-
Offer a store credit to the value of the original purchase
Each case is assessed individually to ensure a fair and practical outcome while maintaining the quality standards of aleph jewellery.
WARRANTY TERMS
As part of aleph’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship, we will repair or replace jewellery at no cost within 12 months of the original purchase date where a genuine manufacturing fault has been confirmed. This warranty applies only to defects arising from the materials used or the way the jewellery was made, and not to issues that occur through regular wear or external causes.
Each warranty claim is assessed individually. Our team will examine the item to determine whether the issue is due to a manufacturing fault. Where this is confirmed, we will take reasonable steps to restore the piece to its original condition or provide a suitable replacement.
This warranty becomes void under certain circumstances, including where:
-
The jewellery has been altered, resized, modified or repaired by anyone other than aleph or an authorised service provider
-
The damage results from misuse, neglect, accidental impact or improper handling
-
The jewellery shows signs of exposure to harsh chemicals, perfumes, salt water, cleaning agents or other substances that may damage the metal or finish
-
The item has not been cared for in a reasonable manner consistent with normal jewellery care
Normal signs of wear over time, such as minor scratches, surface marks, or gradual changes in finish, are not considered manufacturing faults and are therefore not covered under this warranty.
aleph cannot guarantee replacement with the exact same piece if a design has been discontinued or is no longer available. In such cases, we may offer a jewellery item of similar value and appearance. If a suitable replacement is not acceptable, we may offer a store credit equal to the original purchase price.
How To Request A Warranty Assessment
To request service under this warranty, customers must first contact aleph at sales@aleph-bet.com.au before sending any jewellery to us. Making contact in advance allows our team to review the issue and determine whether the item requires a physical assessment. In many cases, photographs and a brief explanation may help us provide initial guidance, which can prevent unnecessary shipping costs and delays.

-
Your full name
-
Your current contact details (email address and phone number)
-
A clear description of the issue
-

Providing complete and accurate information helps us identify your order promptly and ensures that your warranty claim can be assessed without unnecessary delays.
Postage And Responsibility
When returning jewellery to aleph, we recommend using registered post or a reputable courier service that provides tracking. Customers should retain proof of postage and tracking details until delivery is confirmed.
Jewellery remains the sender’s responsibility until it has been safely received by aleph. We strongly recommend insuring the parcel for its full value, as aleph cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged while in transit to us.
Packaging Guidelines
Proper packaging is essential to protect jewellery during shipment. Items should be placed in a secure jewellery box or protective pouch and cushioned within a padded envelope or sturdy parcel to prevent movement or impact.
Taking care with packaging significantly reduces the risk of damage occurring during transport and helps ensure the item arrives safely for assessment.
Costs And Postage
Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping jewellery to aleph for warranty assessment. This includes any postage, courier fees, and insurance costs associated with sending the item to us. We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping method to ensure the jewellery is protected while in transit. aleph is not responsible for items that are lost or damaged before they are received by our team.
Once the item has been received and inspected, we will determine whether the issue falls within the scope of the manufacturer’s warranty. If the issue is confirmed to be a genuine manufacturing fault covered under this warranty, aleph will cover the reasonable cost of return shipping to send the repaired or replacement item back to you.
If, after inspection, the issue is found not to be covered under warranty — for example, where damage has occurred due to accidental impact, wear and tear, improper care, or external factors — we will notify you and provide a detailed repair quotation. No repair work will be carried out without your approval. You may then choose to proceed with the repair at your expense or have the item returned to you unrepaired. In cases where the item is returned unrepaired, you may be responsible for return postage costs.
aleph aims to ensure that all costs associated with warranty and non-warranty repairs are communicated clearly and transparently before any work is undertaken.
What is not covered under warranty
aleph’s warranty is intended to cover genuine manufacturing faults. It does not extend to damage or changes that occur through normal use, accidental impact, or improper care. The following situations are not covered under warranty:
Scratches, dents, or surface wear from regular use
Jewellery is worn against skin, clothing, and other surfaces, which can naturally lead to minor scratches, scuffs, or small dents over time. These cosmetic changes are considered normal wear and tear and do not indicate a manufacturing defect.
Chain damage due to pulling, snagging or excessive force
Chains and fine components can be damaged if they are caught, pulled, twisted, or placed under sudden pressure. Breakage or stretching caused by external force is not considered a fault in materials or workmanship.
Discolouration caused by exposure to chemicals or moisture
Exposure to perfumes, lotions, cleaning products, salt water, chlorine, or perspiration can affect the appearance of jewellery over time. Changes in colour or finish resulting from environmental exposure are not covered under warranty.
Bent or misshapen components from impact
If jewellery is dropped, knocked, or crushed, structural parts may bend or distort. Damage resulting from impact or external pressure is not considered a manufacturing fault.
Loss or theft of jewellery
The warranty does not cover items that have been lost or stolen, as these circumstances are beyond aleph’s control.
Damage resulting from improper storage or care
Storing jewellery loosely with other items, failing to clean it appropriately, or exposing it to harsh environments may cause damage. Issues arising from improper handling or storage are not covered.
Normal wear and tear is expected with jewellery and is not considered a manufacturing fault.
